The Runeshaper

Rahat Al Mamun

Electrical Engineer

Dhaka, Bangladesh

The engineer who turns circuits and sensors into working devices, fluent from the electronics and firmware up to the machine learning that makes the hardware actually think.

Rahat Al Mamun is Arcane Hive's Electrical Engineer, working where the physical and the digital meet. An electrical & electronics engineer trained at Independent University, Bangladesh, he designs and prototypes IoT devices, embedded systems, and the sensor and machine-learning pipelines that make them intelligent, taking hardware from a bare idea to a working device.

His R&D track record is unusually deep for the field. With iFarmer he prototyped an IoT cattle health-monitoring device, collecting and labelling sensor data and training the machine-learning models to flag behavioural anomalies and disease early. As a robotics software engineer he built Kalman-filter sensor fusion (IMU and GPS over ROS) for the autonomous navigation of a micro tunnel-boring machine, work that helped his team become the only South Asian winners of a Rookie Award at Elon Musk's Not-A-Boring Competition, and that he co-authored into a published IEEE paper on fault-tolerant inertial navigation.

That range runs from the low level all the way up. Rahat is at home with embedded electronics and ESP32 microcontrollers, sensor fusion and signal processing, and applied machine learning with TensorFlow and image processing, the full path from a raw sensor reading to a decision a device can act on. His work has been recognised at the Cisco IoT Hackathon and the Netherlands Embassy's Orange Corner Ideation Challenge, among others.

For Arcane Hive's clients, that means genuinely custom hardware is on the table, smart sensors, monitoring devices, and connected machines designed, built, and proven in the real world, not just specified on a datasheet. Rahat is the engineer who makes the IoT and custom-device work hold up where it matters: in the field.

What Rahat brings to your business

Electronics to intelligence

Rahat works the whole path, from the circuit and embedded firmware to the machine learning that runs on it, so your device is genuinely smart, not just wired together.

Real R&D and prototyping

From IoT livestock-health monitors to autonomous tunnel-boring navigation, Rahat has taken hardware from idea to working, award-winning prototype.

Sensors that make decisions

Sensor fusion, Kalman filtering, and applied ML mean the data your devices collect becomes reliable, actionable signal, not just noise.

Areas of expertise

Every device starts as a handful of components; the craft is in making them think.
